# VeilType

> VeilType is a lightweight Android privacy keyboard for encrypted messages. The current launch story is: type, encrypt locally before sending, use the messengers people already have, no VeilType cloud, no account, and a $4.49 lifetime launch price.

Important notes:
- VeilType is not a new messenger. It is a keyboard layer for chat apps people already use.
- Offline voice typing is not available yet. It is planned as the next commercial upgrade.
- The planned voice upgrade should use optional downloadable language packs so users install only the languages they use.
- Both people need VeilType and the same 8-emoji shared key.
- The current public artifact is a direct Android APK.
- The launch pricing being prepared is $4.49 lifetime founder access, with a $1 creator discount to $3.49 when a valid ref or promo source is present.
- The creator program offer is: audience saves $1, approved creator earns $1 per confirmed VeilType sale, with hold and payout rules.
- Customer referral offer: after purchase, invite 5 confirmed VeilType buyers to unlock a purchase-back reward for the original VeilType purchase price. Creator commission still applies if the first buyer came through a creator.
- Backend MVP exists under `/backend/` for manual partner approval, manual purchase confirmation, partner dashboards, and commission tracking before automatic payment widgets are available.
- Until a live checkout URL is configured, the public founder-access page collects purchase requests by email and does not charge the user.
- The commercial model should use one APK plus license claims, not separate APK files for gifts.
